THE QUALITY INN ON US 27 NORTH HAS
CHANGED HANDS AND IS NOW THE HIGHLANDS INN.
THE MUCH AWAITED GRAND OPENING OF THE
BORDER TOWN CANTINA (formerly Tony's Italian Restaurant) WILL BE ON
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4TH. THE OWNER ERIK MARTINEZ HAS BEEN WORKING FOR OVER A
YEAR ON HIS NEW ESTABLISHMENT. TACOS, BEERS, AND SPORTS WILL BE THE FOCUS.
MENU ITEMS ALSO INCLUDE TRADITIONAL MEXICAN GOODIES LIKE QUESADILLAS AND
BURRITOS.
THE NO FRILLS GRILL ON PLACID LAKES
BLVD. ( NEAR THE PLACID LAKES GOLF COURSE) HAS CLOSED. IN MY OPINION THEY
HAD A TERRIFIC BURGER AND GOOD FOOD. THE SIGN IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT
SIMPLY SAYS "THE FAT LADY HAS SUNG" ANOTHER SIGN OF THE TIMES I GUESS.

Haunted House
- by Jack Prelutsky
There's a house upon the hilltop
we will not go inside
For that is where the witches live,
Where ghosts and goblins hide.
Tonight they have their party,
All the lights are burning bright,
But oh we will not go inside
The haunted house tonight.
The demons there are whirling
And the spirits swirl about.
They sing their songs to Halloween.
"Come join the fun," they shout.
But we do not want to go there
So we run with all our might
And oh we will not go inside
The haunted house tonight.
HAPPY
HOLLOWEEN
TO
ALL!
Thats all for now
.....................Lets all remember to be kind to each
other...............
